Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Last week I received in the mail "MeMa's Manna Recipes for the Busy Person" from Amazon. I've seen a couple other people had made recipes from this book and had rave reviews. There are so many recipes in the book I want to try. I can't wait to try more!
I decided to make the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies since I was in the mood for cookies and had all the ingredients. I must say....they were some of the best cookies I have every had! The recipe was easy and not time consuming at all. I would make these again and again.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup margarine (softenend) - I used butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Sift flour and soda. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Mix in egg, vanilla and peanut butter. Mix in dry ingredients, add chocolate chips.

Form dough into 1-inch balls. Arrange on ungreased baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart. Flatten to thickness of 1/2 inch with back of fork dipped in sugar.

Bake 12 minutes or until golden. Can be frozen.

Yield: 3 dozen

PB and chocolate are my two most favorite combinations!! I LOVE them!! I have all the ingredients, so I think I'll make these this afternoon - I'm sure my three sons and hubby will be very happy!! I'll have to check that cookbook out - I've never heard of it before (amazing!!) :)
