Quick Lasagna Toss

I saw this recipe on the Mr. Food site. I get emails from the site and there are always tons of yummy stuff on here. I made this recipe Monday for dinner. Good dinner for a work night. This tasted almost exactly like my lasagna. Pretty much all the same ingredients. The picture does not do it justice. It is delicious. If you make it, you won't be sorry!

Serves: 6

Cooking Time: 25 min

Ingredients
  • 12 lasagna noodles, broken into large pieces
  • 1 pound hot Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 1 (26-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
  1. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in a soup pot, cook sausage over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes, or until no pink remains, stirring to crumble sausage; drain.
  3. Add noodles and remaining ingredients; mix well.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook 6 to 8 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese has melted. Serve immediately.

I love lasagna and any recipe that cuts the time to make it is a winner to me! :)
